Charlotte Kenyon is a Senior Lecturer in Midwifery and Strategic Teaching and Learning Associate with a passion for creating engaging, evidence-informed learning experiences. Alongside educating future midwives, she works at a strategic level to enhance student learning, engagement and success across higher education.
Her professional interests include student autonomy in clinical practice, innovative teaching approaches, and supporting the development of the future midwifery workforce.
Charlotte was keen to become involved with the Iolanthe Midwifery Trust because of its commitment to supporting midwives and student midwives in pursuing opportunities that enhance their professional development and improve care for women and families. Having benefited throughout her career from the encouragement and support of others, she is passionate about helping to create opportunities that enable individuals to achieve their potential and make a positive impact within the profession.
Outside of work, Charlotte has a lifelong love of music and enjoys a rich musical life involving regular orchestral and chamber music performance. She is also an enthusiastic (sometimes a little too enthusiastic) paddleboarder and can often be found exploring rivers and lakes while enjoying the challenge and tranquillity of being on the water.
Charlotte’s professional commitment, lifelong learning, and community involvement reflect the values that she is proud to bring to her role within the Trust.
