We just had to share the news about our London Marathon 2025 team!

What a journey it's been – from those gruelling, rainy training runs to the sheer elation of crossing the finish line, our fabulous runners truly went the extra mile (and then some!). But the awesomeness didn't stop there! Their post-run fundraising efforts have been nothing short of phenomenal. They didn't just smash their own aspirations; they've already raised an incredible £13,179 for midwifery! And once we're officially Gift Aid registered, that could potentially zoom up to an astounding £15,611!

Every single one of you, by cheering them on and donating, has played a vital part in making this happen and for that, we send the biggest thank you.

Karen says:

"My highlight was when I turned right and saw Tower Bridge in front of me. I’m a super fan of the marathon, watch it every year, so I was so excited to see that part of the route! Also sharing the experience with my best friend who is a midwife was just amazing.

The challenges were mainly the heat and humidity, but at times the loud horns and bells from the crowd. I don’t think I’ve ever had so many excessive noise notifications on my Apple Watch! Also my watch decided to shut down around 5 hours in, but my friend Lucy luckily shared her results via Strava as we never left each other's side."

Louis adds:

For me, the most challenging was the Canary Wharf stretch, with not knowing that part of the course - it was very up and down. My highlight was having my family at the 40K mark, that helped me through the hardest part of the run; it was motivating to see them. "

You can relive the fundraising journey by  visiting the 2025 Marathon JustGiving page where you can see the amazing updates from our running team which consisted of Leigh, Karen, Jo, Michael, Myriam & Louis as well as the 410 supporters who donated to their efforts.
