Leave a Legacy

Leaving a gift to The Iolanthe Midwifery Trust in your Will

A gift in your Will, regardless of size, will live on in the lives of future generations of midwives and the benefits will cascade through the ages.

  • Do you think midwives have access to a huge number of grants?

  • Do you think midwives have ready access to funds to pay for courses, travel, research and to increase their knowledge and skills?

The answer to both these questions is simply: NO - sadly, they don’t.

There are some ambitious new career midwives who yearn to learn. Others want to start ground breaking research. And many more cannot afford to enrol in courses or travel to an elective placement

There is a real paucity of grants to empower advancement and grow skills and knowledge. This is where we come in.

We have given over 400 grants in the past and the demand for our grants is growing with over 16,000 midwives currently in the UK.

Leaving a legacy gift can be a great way of leaving a future donation to the IMT even if you are not necessarily in a financial position to do so right now.

Making a Will

A Will is a legal letter of love which enables you to pass on what you choose to family, friends and charities.

If you already have a Will

All you need to do is decide the type of gift:

It can be an affordable sum of money

or a % of what you are worth. The % can be from 1% to 100% - whatever suits you.

Your Will writer will need to know:

Our Registered Charity Number: 1191317

And our name: The Iolanthe Midwifery Trust

If you do not have a Will

You can find a local solicitor

in England and Wales Find a Solicitor - The Law Society

in Scotland Find a Solicitor | Law Society of Scotland

in Northern Ireland Finding a Solicitor | The Law Society of Northern Ireland

or you can use a service like Make a Will Online: the only solicitor-checked online wills service*

If you have already put The Iolanthe Midwifery Trust in your Will

A huge thank you for such a thoughtful and meaningful gift. You do not have to tell us your intentions but if you do then we can say thank you
