2023: Introducing the Norah Faith Coniam Award

Published:
14 Jan 2023

The Iolanthe Midwifery Trust is honoured to announce the launch of the new Norah Faith Coniam Award

This award has been created in the memory of Norah, the daughter of Iolanthe supporters, Ross and Naomi Coniam. After having only 9 hours and 56 minutes of precious time with her parents, baby Norah passed away.

Since then, Norah's father Ross has undertaken numerous challenges, including the London Marathon, to raise funds for the Iolanthe Trust and other charities working to improve maternity care, and his outstanding efforts have enabled Iolanthe to offer this new award.

The Norah Faith Coniam Award specifically focuses on improving care and practice around baby loss and bereavement, including early pregnancy loss.

A maximum of £1500 will be granted for the purposes of undertaking training, research, or improving local services in this area. Both midwives and student midwives are eligible to apply.
