Logan Van Lessen

Logan has over 40 years experience in the NHS having qualified as a nurse and midwife. She worked clinically for many years in the hospital and community and then took up several management posts including a year’s secondment as deputy Head of Midwifery at Milton Keynes. She completed her Masters in Midwifery in 2007.

As matron for inpatient services at Whittington Health, she implemented the "partners staying overnight" project which won the RCM award for Better Births in 2015. She won the Supervisor of the Year for London award in 2014. As Consultant Midwife in Public Health she is also part of Middlesex University faculty and works collaboratively on public health issues as well as research. She is a professional midwifery advocate and currently clinic lead for public health for North Central London. She is also chair of the UK (RCM) consultant midwives forum.
