Awards

Over the last 25 years the Iolanthe Midwifery Trust has helped hundred of midwives and others through bursaries, fellowships and special awards. More than 300 awards have been made during the 25 years of the Trust's existence. Award winners come from across the UK.

Awards are normally advertised in the midwifery press and email mailbases in November each year. The closing date for 2010 applications has now passed. Applications will be considered at the next Trustees' meeting and winners will be announced later in the year.

The Iolanthe Midwifery Research Fellowship, the Iolanthe Midwives Awards and the Tricia Anderson Award are open to midwives only and the Iolanthe Student Awards are open to midwifery students. The Ann Stewart and the Dame Rosalind Paget Awards are made at the discretion of the trustees - see the individual web page for details. The Delivering Best Practice Award is open to anyone working with mothers, their babies and their families. The Iolanthe Midwifery Trust values diversity and welcomes applications from all sections of the community.

If you are applying for an award you might find the leaflet on "Making the most of yourself" helpful.

Details of the 2010 award winners can be found here.
